It takes about an hour to raise anchor and transit the 5 knotical miles to Kwatsi Bay marina, where "The Ringleader" secures moorage for a couple of days where Capt. Terry can change the gen set oil and filters, the owner can read, and they both can go exploring and fishing in the launch

At the "Pig Roast" "The Ringleader"'s owner hears of a nice marina above the NE side of Gilford Island
just a little more than 12 knots miles from Pierre's Cove marina. When arrived at Kwatsi Bay it is full, so
reservations are made for the following day, and "The Ringleader" motors across Tribune channel, around clam point, and back into Wakkanna Bay and anchored in 70' of water with 280' of anchor rode out.

The owner hears tell of a pig roast that happens on Saturdays at Pierrie's Cove Marina, located about 18 knt miles SW of Sullivan Bay, off the NW corner of Gilford Island. She mentions it to Capt. Terry,
he replies, no problem.
Two hours and a half later, "The Ringleader", Owner and Capt. Terry are moored at Pierre's Cove Marina, with reservations for the "Pig Roast" and the Rubber Ducky race, to take place the next day on Saturday.

The Ringleader
From Greenway Sound to Sullivan Bay Marina
August 22, 2007


After dinner at the Greenway Sound restaurant and a couple days at the dock, Capt. Terry and the owner cruise to Sullivan on North Broughton Island where the largest facilities this side of the Queen Charlotte Straits exist. Soon after tying up the "Eviva" arrives, one of the largest Yachts cruising the area. Orin, and Charlene, the owners, are aboard, and Capt. Terry learns from Orin that he is taking it down island, to put it, on a Dockwise transfer vessel to be shipped to Florida for a boat show.
